Salt Springs Mara Camp is the first camp in the larger Mara eco system to be owned and operated by indigenous Maasai people. As such, we have introduced a scheme to help empower the community, and especially the women. The camp provides employment opportunities for local residents and provides space for the women to sell their hand made products.

The Mara Camp is the first upscale camp purely owned and operated by Maasai people. It is located in the Mara eco system at the edge of the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve in an unspoiled area near Musiara marsh. Perching on top of a rocky hill along the Mara River, it overlooks the ages old Olotulo-emurt Salt lick in the shade of the Oloolo escarpment. Read More.....
